Dwayne Wade and LeBron James still sting out

Injuries seem never-ending in this season of NBA, with many star players affected by injuries and doubts over their status prevail until now. The story of injuries continues with Dwayne Wade and LeBron James both slowed down because of injuries. Both of them sat out in Thursday’s game between Heat and Atlanta Hawks, and both of them were not in their uniform, when they sat on Miami bench. Erik Spoelstra, heat coach, commented on injuries on the player, and said that Wade is suffering from a sore foot and the chances of his playing is more doubtful than James, because of his injury on the left leg.
This is the second game that Wade has missed after the first game against Indiana on Wednesday. Heat won the Wednesday’s game with 118-83 against Indiana. It was back on December 28, when wade injured his foot and the injury still persists and is affecting his game in this season of NBA as well. When it comes to LeBron James, he suffered injury in his left ankle, when his ankle turned during the game on Wednesday night. He actually stepped on Paul George’s foot from Indiana when he was trying the fast-break layup.
Even though James suffered the injury during Wednesday’s game, yet he finished the game with 13 assists and 33 points at the end. Coach Spoelstra commented that, “We are keeping all the points in mind starting from the games ahead, to rest and treatment, which we can do.” According to the coach, the injuries are not too serious and there are hopes of both the players returning to game as soon as possible. In the game against Indiana James Jones played in place of Wade, and in the game against the Hawks, Shane Battier started the game.
There is news of injuries from Hawk’s side as well, as the status of Tracy McGrady is also uncertain, and Coach Larry Drew confirmed this later. Tracy McGrady suffered from a bruised knee and nothing much has been said about his injury after the game. It is a down time for Miami Heat with two most important players sitting out because of injuries and there is no confirmation about any one of them playing in the next game. The fans will have to wait to see their star players play in the NBA season and it seems that the injuries are making the wait even longer.

Wenger’s Comments about Arsenal in 2011

Arsene Wenger, manager of Arsenal football club has been in the news for his optimistic comments, even as his team seems to be struggling harder than before. While the disappointment amongst fans have been expecting little from the team’s players and management, many stakeholders of Arsenal have appeared to show greater interest in rival team Chelsea. Although financially well-off now, Arsenal FC has not been raising the hopes of its stakeholders as high as some other clubs. Wenger has been wise enough to realize that, and conveyed a conservative message in most of his conferences held recently.
Although making money seems to be easy for most teams deeply in the transfers market, Arsenal is not in the habit of letting off its players too easily. This has been met with mixed reaction from experts and fans, and Wenger has promised nothing less than strong fights from his men. Trusting their unique soccer qualities, Wenger mentioned that he was aware about the reasons why his team was not a favorite contender this season, but also mentioned that he is supervising the practice sessions only to find out that his men are raring to have a go at the tough competition that lies ahead.
Most fans have ranked Arsenal close to the tenth spot as contenders in the English Premier League. Many suggest that a few exchanges and may be some new players can bring back the old glory of the Arsenal club. However, Wenger remarked that only unity could be the reason for success in these difficult times. While Chelsea as a football club has been experimenting with team changes successfully, Wenger seemingly refuses to compare the two situations for several reasons. Being consistent is difficult for every soccer team, and unity is one way to ensure it according to the Arsenal manager.
In order to get back to old glory, one feels that changes are necessary. Although Arsenal has been planning regulatory changes and new strategies, it has been eager to take gratifying steps that will allow players to perform with a consolidated understanding of their tactics on the field.
